Lawrence Eatery To Participate In Princeton's Vegan Chef Challenge
Restaurant goers can try vegan dishes and vote for their favorites.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – After the success of its inaugural event, the Vegan Chef Challenge is back for its second edition in Princeton. And a local restaurant is participating.
Lady and the Shallot will participate in the event beginning Oct. 1 to 31. Local chefs will rustle up creative and delicious plant-based menu options and will compete for the dining public’s votes based on their creations.
A total of 17 local businesses joined the challenge last year. Lady and the Shallot won in the category of Best Lunch Entrée with their Ricotta Fig Balsamic Flatbread.

After that they vote for their favorites either at the restaurants or by Oct. 31 on the Princeton Vegan Chef Challenge website.
Winning dishes will be announced in early November.
The event is hosted by Vegan Outreach, NJveg and Vegan in NJ. Their aim is to educate the public on the benefits of a plant based diet and support people in whatever way they can.
The Vegan Chef Challenge also invites diners to experience the many benefits of a plant-based diet by signing up for the free 10 Weeks to Vegan program. This guided challenge gives participants everything they need to get started with eating vegan.
Each week, participants learn to replace one animal product with a vegan version, while receiving nutritional tips, product recommendations, and recipes. To learn more, visit: www.10weeks.org
