Lawrence High Seniors Stage 'Peter Pan and Wendy'
Performances of the play, based upon J.M. Barrie's novel "Peter Pan," will take place this Friday and Saturday, June 1-2.

Rediscover the loopy fun and darker corners of J.M. Barrie's novel Peter Pan this weekend with ’s production of the faithful, fast-moving stage adaptation Peter Pan and Wendy.
When the carefree and careless Peter Pan flies into the nursery of the Darling home, Wendy Darling follows her instinct for adventure and brings her little brothers along to the magical Neverland to take care of the Lost Boys. Once in Neverland, however, the Darling children are soon swept into Peter's deadly battle with Captain Hook and his mostly-fearsome pirate crew.
Senior Keith Costa stars as Peter Pan in this adventurous and mysterious play by Doug Rand. Also featured in the wholly student-run production are seniors Kate Adamy as Wendy Darling and Gavin Gronenthal as Mr. Darling and Captain Hook.
Directors Michelle Dzieminski and Rachel Friedman, both seniors and no strangers to the LHS stage, have worked tirelessly with stage managers Samantha Adamczyk and Grettie vonVorys-Norton, also seniors, and adviser Lee Neamand to pull the show together. They promise that audiences will see an exciting, dramatic show.
