The suspect, 33-year-old Jean Delince Clermont of the 100 block of Johnson Avenue, has been charged with attempted luring of a juvenile, according to Lawrence Township police.

A Lawrence Township man was arrested hours after he allegedly tried to lure a teenage girl into his car on Johnson Avenue last week, police have confirmed.
The suspect, 33-year-old Jean Delince Clermont of the 100 block of Johnson Avenue, was charged with attempted luring of a juvenile, according to township police department spokesman Lt. Charles Edgar.
Edgar said police received a call at 3:21 p.m. on Friday, April 27, from the alleged victim, a 16-year-old girl. “She said a male had approached her and asked her to get in the car with him. He asked her where she was going,” he said.

He said Detective James Smith and Officer Sean Kerins investigated throughout the afternoon and indentified Clermont as a suspect. He said Clermont was arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning, April 28, and later transferred to the Mercer County Correction Center in Hopewell Township in lieu of bail.
The allegations against Clermont remain under investigation, Edgar said. He described Clermont’s vehicle as a green, four-door Mazda 626.
He said anyone with information that could assist investigators or who has had similar dealings with the suspect should call police at (609) 896-1111.
