Lawrence Students Claim Top Spots in Poster Contest
Two students from Lawrenceville Elementary School were awarded first and second honors in the Grades 2-3 category of the Mercer County Soil Conservation District's "Soil to Spoon" poster contest.

The "Soil to Spoon" poster contest, sponsored by the Mercer County Soil Conservation District for students in grades 2 through 12, is designed to spread the word about the importance of conserving our natural resources.
Second-graders at began their posters in Maria Raimondo's art class and then completed them at home for submission.

Yaroslav Poznyak in Kim Finochiaro's class won a $100 cash award for first place in the Grades 2-3 category, while Rebekah Gaudino in Melanie Parker's class won a $50 cash award for second place in the same category.
