Lawrence Woman Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash In Mercer Co.: Officials
The crash occurred Friday night when it was snowing, Hamilton Police said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A 67-year-old Lawrenceville woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Hamilton on Friday night, authorities said.
The crash occurred on South Broad Street near the intersection with Hempstead Road shortly after 10 p.m., when it was snowing, police said.
The incident involved a 2021 VW Tiguan driven by Anthony Pipitone, 45, from Waterford; a 2011 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 62-year-old woman from Lawrenceville; and a 2003 Toyota Camry driven by Byron W. Zepeda Gonzalez, 43,-from Trenton.

According to preliminary investigation, the VW driven by Pipitone (eastbound) and the Hyundai (westbound) collided head-on on S. Broad Street. The Toyota driven by Gonzalez then collided with the rear of the Hyundai following the initial collision., police said.
The cause of the crash is being investigated, but the weather at the time was inclement with an active snowfall, police said.

Pipitone and the woman were taken via ambulance to Capital Health Regional Trauma Center. Gonzalez was taken to RWJ Hospital in Hamilton via ambulance.
The woman succumbed to her injuries on Saturday morning, police said.
Her name is being withheld until notification of her next of kin is confirmed.
