Lawrenceville Students Make a “Bald” Statement

Team Lawrenceville Elementary School made a "bald" statement recently by securing donations to have . The mission of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is to raise awareness and funds to cure kids’ cancer by supporting cancer research and fellowships.

Seventeen "shavees" from LES, including children, staff and parents raised a total of $12,893 in donations. Top fundraiser, at $2,945.00, was first-grader and first-time "shavee" Riley Cahill.

Team captain, Kindergarten Teacher Jeffrey Berry, has participated in Lawrence Township’s St. Baldrick’s event for the past four years.

Denise Barash, a teaching assistant at LES and a licensed cosmetologist, shaved many of the heads of adults and children alike.
