More Charges For Man Found With Pipe Bombs At Mercer Traffic Stop
In July last year, Hamilton Police found Jeremy Giliberti of Burlington Co. with four pipe bombs inside his car.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A Mt. Laurel man who was found with pipe bombs in his car during a traffic stop in Mercer County last year, has been charged with possessing destructive devices, federal authorities said Tuesday.
Jeremy Giliberti, 52, is charged by complaint with one count of possessing destructive devices, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.
On July 26, 2023, Hamilton Township Police Division officers conducted a motor vehicle stop of Giliberti. During a search of Giliberti’s vehicle, one of the officers found a duffle bag on the front passenger-side floorboard which contained four pipe bombs, authorities said.

Two of the devices were encased in 5-inch steel pipes and two of the devices were encased in cardboard tubing wrapped in duct tape. All four of the devices contained numerous metal pellets, an explosive mixture, and a pyrotechnic fuse, according to court documents.
The possession of a destructive device charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

At the time of the incident, it wasn't clear why Giliberti had the explosive materials, as police didn't list any potential motive.
A LinkedIn profile under his name shows several posts claiming he's been targeted by the U.S. government — notably the FBI, Department of Justice and branches of the military.
