Mercer County Releases 3 Foxes At Eames Preserve In Hopewell
The foxes were rescued in April as infants, officials said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ – The Mercer County Wildlife Center recently released three foxes at Eames Preserve in Hopewell.
The foxes were infants when they were rescued in April, each weighing about two pounds, County officials said.
“After arriving at the Wildlife Center, the kits were treated for sarcoptic mange, rehabilitated, and even trained at ‘mice school’ so they’d be ready to hunt after release,” the County said. Mercer County’s Wildlife Center rehabilitates and releases an average of 2,300 birds, mammals, and reptiles from native NJ species each year.
