Mercer Man Ejected, Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash In Burlington: Police
The chain-reaction collision sent an overturned van into a tractor-trailer's path, authorities said.
HAMILTON, NJ — A man from Hamilton was killed after he was ejected from his vehicle in a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Interstate 295 in Mount Laurel, officials said.
Police identified the man as Dennis Cox, 62, of Hamilton Square.
State Police responded to the crash at 8:12 a.m. Based on their preliminary investigation, Cox was traveling in the right lane on I-295 north. The left side of his Nissan van struck the right side of a Dodge pickup truck in the northbound center lane at milepost 42.6, according to Det. Jeffrey Lebron.

As a result, Cox's vehicle ran off the road to the left, overturned and crossed the center median, police said.
Then, a Peterbilt tractor-trailer in the southbound center lane struck his vehicle, according to Lebron.

Cox was ejected and sustained fatal injuries during the collision sequence, Lebron said.
The crash remains under investigation.
