Mercer Student Killed In Snowy Road Crash Was ‘Sweet & Loving’

The 19-year-old woman was killed in the crash while driving home for the Holidays.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A fundraiser has been started for the Mercer County student who was killed in a crash on a snow-covered road in Pennsylvania over the weekend.

Zy’yonnah A. Dully was driving south on a snow-covered Hoovertown Road in Huston on Nov. 22 when her vehicle slid sideways and crashed into an oncoming dump truck. Dully was 19.

According to a fundraiser started for her family, Dully was a second-year student at The University of Pittsburg, Bradford campus. She was driving home for the Holidays to be with her family.

“Zy’yonnah was a sweet and loving girl [who] brought positive energy to anyone around her. She had dreams of becoming a nurse and was making everyone so proud. Blossoming into a young lady truly worth bragging about,” said Trenton resident Latisha Spearman who started the GoFundMe.

"She had joined into the Greek life and found family in her sisters of Lambda Xi. Zy’yonnah left this earth with so much more life to live. This is a reality that no one who knew her was prepared to face.”

In a message on Instagram, Dully’s sorority mourned her death, saying she “always knew how to make someone smile and there was never a dull moment with her.”

The GoFundMe is seeking to raise funds for Dully’s funeral expenses. As of Wednesday morning, $9,050 was raised with the goal being $20,000.
