Mother Stabbed By Son Dies Of Her Injuries In Mercer County: Officials
Maggie McNeil was stabbed by her son Theodore on May 21. She died two days later, authorities said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ – An Ewing woman who was stabbed by her son on May 21 died two days later of the wounds, the prosecutor's office said.
Maggie McNeil, 61, was stabbed inside her house by her son Theodore McNeil, 36.
On May 21, around 5:10 p.m., Ewing Police received a call for two unconscious people who were found near the intersection of Pennington Road and Central Avenue.

The two were described as having injuries and being covered in blood.
Police were then directed to a home on Pennington Road, where officers found Maggie who had been stabbed. Theodore was also inside the house, where he was detained and eventually arrested, Ewing police said.

Authorities found that the people inside the house had run out to a nearby fire station to seek help.
Ewing Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and tended to Maggie. She was taken to the hospital for further treatment and succumbed to her injuries on May 23.
A family member told The Trentonian that Theodore was schizophrenic and that Maggie was “desperately trying” to get him help the day she was stabbed.
Theodore was charged with Criminal Attempt - Murder (1st degree), Aggravated Assault (2nd degree), Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose (3rd degree) and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (4th degree).
He is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center pending a detention hearing on Monday, according to the prosecutor’s office.
