NJ House Struck By Lightning, Sparking Fire: Fire Officials
The fire was reported Sunday afternoon amid a slew of severe thunderstorm warnings issued across the region, authorities said.
HAMILTON, NJ - A Mercer County home ignited Sunday after being struck by lightning during a Sunday afternoon storm, authorities said.
Members of the Hamilton Township Professional Firefighters responded to a report of a blaze on East Park Avenue Sunday afternoon, with the homeowner reporting that the house filled up with smoke after a lightning strike, labor union officials said.
No injuries were reported, fire officials said.
