Obituary: Dorothy Midura Blicharz, 87

A Lawrence Township resident for over 60 years, she worked for Heinemann Electric Company and was a lover of animals.

Dorothy Midura Blicharz, 87, of Lawrence Township, died Saturday, April 14, at home in the care of her loving family.

Born in Trenton, Dorothy had resided in Lawrence for over 60 years.

Dorothy retired in 1989 from the Heinemann Electric Company in Lawrenceville as a stock clerk after 45½ years of service.

She was a member of the North Trenton American Legion Post #458 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Lawrence Township Senior Citizens Club #2, where she enjoyed line dancing for many years.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline Poczatek Midura, wife of the late Emil S. Blicharz, and sister of the late Mildred Ryba, Phyllis Lepold, Stephen Midura, and Carl Midura, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Linda and Donald Shaw of Lawrence; a special niece Gerry Brown; and many other nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a great lover of animals, especially her cats.

Her funeral was held on April 18 with the clergy of officiating. Entombment followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum in Hamilton Township.
