Obituary: Licia B. Mauro, 92

Lawrence Township resident worked for Avon for over 40 years.

Licia B. Mauro, 92, of Lawrence Township passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Capital Health System Hopewell.  Born in New York City, she had resided in Staten Island and Lawrence Township.  Licia was an Avon Lady for over 40 years. She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church in Pennington and Senior Citizen Club #2 of Lawrence.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Louise Giordanelli Bielli, wife of the late Joseph V. Mauro, and sister of the late Elda Whitman, she is survived by a son Victor J. Mauro of Palm Coast Fla.; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice A. and Fred Cibelli of Lawrence; grandchildren Amanda, Matthew, Frederic and Michael; and two great-grandchildren.

Lee’s sunny personality was a gift to all who met her.  She will be remembered by her smile and gentle kindness to those she knew and those she just met.  Lee loved to dance, sing and laugh. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James RC Church, 115 E. Delaware Ave., Pennington.  Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.

Friends may call Monday, Dec. 19, from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 9-10 a.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Rd., Pennington.
