Obituary: Ruth D. Bodnar, 93
A former resident of Lawrence Township, she was active with The Church of Saint Ann and was a past president of Lawrence Township Senior Citizens Club #5.

Ruth D. Bodnar, 93, of Ewing, died at her home on Saturday, April 21, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Trenton, and a former resident of Lawrence Township, she was most recently a resident of Ewing.
Mrs. Bodnar was a member of and was past president of their Altar Rosary Society. She was a former member of St Joseph’s Church for 35 years and past president of the St. Joseph’s PTA. She was a former member of St. Gregory the Great’s Senior Citizens Club, and past president of the Lawrence Township Senior Citizens Club #5.

Daughter of the late Joseph D. and Emma D. Deveney Smith, and wife of the late Michael J, Bodnar Sr., she is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael J. Jr. and Barbara Bodnar, and Lawrence J. and Carol Bodnar; her four grandchildren, Michele Gillespie and her husband Andrew, Paula Millen and her husband Jeff, and Stephen and Jennifer Barkasy; her four great-grandchildren, Ian, Shaun, Cody, and Heather; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral for Ruth will be held on Thursday, April 26, at 9 a.m. from , 650 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence Township.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10Â a.m. at The Church of Saint Ann in Lawrence.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, April 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
