Obituary: Ruth Esther Haupt, 89

Ruth Esther Haupt, 89, of Lawrence Township, died at her home on Thursday, March 29.

Born in Syracuse, N.Y., she was a Lawrence Township resident since 1971.

Mrs. Haupt had been an LPN at the Merwick Unit in Princeton before retiring in 1974. She had also volunteered at for 20 years.

Daughter of the late John and Jessie Garner Menikheim, wife of the late Walter Arthur Haupt, and sister of the late Robert Menikhiem, she is survived by her two daughters, Anne Bernhardt and Joanne Haupt; her son and daughter-in-law, Walter John and Margaret Haupt; her six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, William Bernhardt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 2, at 10 a.m. at , 1253 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence Township, with Mgsr. Vincent Gartland officiating. Burial will be private.

There will be no calling hours.
