Preschool Applications Being Accepted Now from Low Income Families
The comprehensive program serves typically developing, low income, and special needs 4-year-old children. Classes meet for six and one-half hours per day, five days per week.

The Lawrence Township School District is now accepting applications from low income families for the district’s program for 4 year olds at .Â
This is a comprehensive program that services typically developing, low income, and special needs 4-year-old children. Classes will meet for six and one-half hours per day, five days per week.Â

The 4-year-old class will consist of 18 to 20 children. Special needs students will be placed in the program by identification, evaluation, and eligibility procedures as outlined in the New Jersey Administrative Code.Â
Placement for eight typically-developing children was based on a lottery that was held in March.

Eligibility for this program requires that children must be at least 4 years of age and no older than 5 on October 1, 2012, must be a resident of Lawrence Township, and must be toilet trained.Â
Transportation is provided for low income students. We will determine eligibility for free or reduced lunch for each student when federal guidelines are issued in July.          Â
Preschool lottery applications are available at the Board of Education office, Ben Franklin Elementary School main office, or on our website www.ltps.org/BFPreK.Â
Applications must be completed and returned to Pamela Hernandez, Department of Student Services, 2565 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, N.J. 08648, no later than June 1.
