Despite a narrow last-minute loss to Bergen Catholic, standout performances from scorer Brennan Cortez and first-year goalkeeper Milo Skibola capped a breakthrough 10-9-1 season.
   

• Holiday Drunk Driving Crackdown Kicks Off In NJ (patch.com) — Leonia drivers should expect stepped-up DUI patrols as the borough’s police department receives $7,000 in state funding for New Jersey’s “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” holiday crackdown. From Dec. 5 through Jan. 1, 2026, 125 departments statewide will run extra patrols and checkpoints to curb impaired driving, after hundreds of fatal crashes last year involved alcohol.
