Body Camera, Road Repair Grants: Little Silver Council Agenda
Two measures to approve grant funding for police body cameras and road repairs are on the borough council's agenda Monday.
Little Silver, NJ — The borough council is set to authorize the acceptance of almost $25,000 in grant funding to provide its police officers with body cameras.
The grant, provided by the state Department of Law and Safety, is part of a new law that requires all police officers in New Jersey to wear the recording devices. Also on the agenda are two police department agendas.
The council will also consider a measure to approve a borough grant application for funding from the state Department of Transportation's Safe Street to Transit Municipal Aid program for the Roadway Improvements to Silverside Avenue Phase II. A discussion on Little Silver Point Road sidewalks is also on the agenda.
