Body Found In Monmouth County Woods May Be That Of Missing Connecticut Man

Joseph Comunale, 26, disappeared after attending a party in Manhattan over the weekend, reports say.

STAMFORD, CT—Police are investigating the suspicious disappearance of Stamford man Joseph Comunale, 26, in New York City and evidence so far suggests foul play may be at hand.

Comunale was reported missing after attending a Manhattan party, according to Fox 61. He was last seen entering a 59th Street building at 7:30 a.m. over the weekend. His father reported him missing.

Dogs found bloody rags and blood-stained clothing that police believe belongs to Comunale, according to Pix 11. The items were found in a common area of the apartment building. His disappearance is being investigated as a possible homicide.

A person of interest has been taken into custody for questioning, but was last reported to be uncooperative.

Sources said there was a 911 call on Sunday night reporting unspecified suspicious activity at the building. according to the New York Daily News.

The party host called the front desk of the building to request a luggage cart Sunday evening and a man is seen wheeling out two pieces of luggage on video surveillance, according to the New York Daily News.

Comunale is a sales associate at Tri-Ed Ltd., a company that sells security devices such as CCTV cameras.
