5K Run, 1-Mile Freedom Walk June 14 At Bell Works, To Benefit Monmouth County Parks
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three runners in 14 age groups.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Registration for MonmouthNJ 250 Stars & Strides Flag Day 5K run and 1-mile "freedom walk" is now open.
The race will take place on June 14 at Bell Works, located at 101 Crawfords Corner Road in Holmdel.

This race benefits the Friends of the Monmouth County Park System, a charitable organization that provides financial support exclusively for Monmouth County Park System enhancements, including preserving historical and natural resources, providing recreational opportunities for urban youth and providing activities for individuals with disabilities within the community.
Registration is $30 for the 5K and 1-Mile Freedom Walk and will increase to $35 after May 14. Event T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by May 14. Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three runners in 14 age groups. The 1-Mile Freedom Walk is a non-timed event.

“As an avid runner, I can’t think of a more exciting way to help celebrate America’s 250th birthday than with a patriotic, high-energy event like the Stars & Strides Flag Day 5K & 1-Mile Freedom Walk,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone, Co-Chair of the MonmouthNJ 250 Committee. “We invite everyone to sign up for this once-in-a-lifetime race and wear plenty of red, white, and blue as we honor our incredible country during this historic milestone.”
