Co-Ed Soccer Clinic, Flag Football Coming To Little Silver

The programs offer borough children the chance to learn some new soccer skills or play flag football in the coming months.

LITTLE SILVER — Borough children will have the chance to learn some new soccer skills or play flag football in the coming months.

The Little Silver Recreation Department is offering a free pre-season, co-ed soccer clinic for borough children in grades 1 through 4. The sessions will held on Sunday mornings beginning on Aug. 1 through Aug. 22, and are hosted by Christian Brothers Academy varsity soccer players. First- and second-graders start at 8 a.m., third- and fourth-graders start at 9 a.m. Register online here.

And beginning in September, the recreation department will hold a co-ed flag football program for children in grades 1-4 on Friday nights in September and October. The sessions begin Sept. 10, and will be clinic-based with scrimmages included each week.

Registration costs $70, and the deadline to register is Aug. 20. To register, either stop by borough hall or mail a cash or check to 480 Prospect Ave.
