The film stars O’Scanlon and Russ Russo (“Catch Hell”, “Act of War”). “Victim No. 6” is set in 1975 New York City, where a fun-loving woman out at her local bar invites a handsome stranger back to her place, despite knowing there is a serial killer on the loose.
The movie was also nominated for Best Director and Best Horror Film.
“I was honestly floored when I heard. There were some incredible performances this year and to be selected for this award is truly humbling," said O'Scanlon. "I owe so much thanks to Nancy, for writing the character of Donna for me, for being a generous collaborator, and for giving me great direction throughout. I am also so lucky to have had such wonderful cast-mates, who gave me so much to work with in each scene; everyone really brought their all to this film and that is evident to anyone who has seen it."
Heather is an award-winning actress and filmmaker, as well as a freelance TV/red carpet host. She's done a number of commercials, as well as voice-over work for television, commercials and film. O'Scanlon is the vice-chair of the board of directors for the Garden State Film Festival, New Jersey’s Premier Independent Film Festival.
But she has garnered perhaps the most fame for appearing as a frazzled mom in the Scary Mommy commercial for Welch’s Fruit Snacks, which has attracted more than 2.3 million views. Watch; it will make you laugh:
