Monmouth Park Places New Limits On Coolers, Angering Fans

Restrictions are part of an effort to curb underage drinking at the racetrack

OCEANPORT, NJ - It just got harder to bring coolers with food and beverages to Monmouth Park. And the new restrictions have angered some patrons.

The racetrack is under pressure by the state Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control to curb underage drinking. So coolers must remain in the picnic area and will be inspected. Patrons can no longer bring coolers into the grandstand or onto the apron in front of the track, according to a report in app.com.
