Oceanport Baseball Association Gets Donation For Equipment Destroyed by Sandy
The association received a donation from the Save the Jersey Shore Foundation.

Much of the Oceanport Baseball Association's equipment for its players was lost due to Hurricane Sandy.
So why are children still ready to play ball this summer? The Save the Jersey Shore Foundation and Modell's Sporting Goods has donated equipment for the association's softball and baseball players.
Oceanport Baseball Association Vice President Mike MacStudy said the association lost about $10,000 in equipment stored in two containers flooded by the hurricane, and that most of it was replaced by the Save the Jersey Shore Foundation.

Mike MacStudy said Oceanport Cares joined with Save the Jersey Shore Foundation and Modell's Sporting Goods to make the donation possible.
"They are also going to be helping us with basketball and soccer equipment lost during the storm, but that has not been set up yet," MacStudy said.
