Phil Huhn, a former Neptune Township administrator, will fill the interim role from June 17 through November.
Jungfer's clerk role is filled by the Deputy Clerk Jeanne Smith until a permanent appointment is made.
Mahon said Huhn will have three main goals in his time as the borough's interim clerk. He will handle to the day-to-day clerical duties for the borough, search for Jungfer's permanent replacement and "sort through the issues with our municipal building," Mahon said.
Mahon said the borough is currently weighing its options on where the future home of the municipal building will be. The borough hall, located at 222 Monmouth Blvd., was badly flooded by Hurricane Sandy floodwaters.
