Art Exhibit, Dance Performance In Livingston At Heidi Gallery

The Heidi Gallery at JSDD is holding its third annual juried group exhibition. It will include a performance from Carolyn Dorfman Dance.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Heidi Gallery at JSDD is holding its third annual juried group exhibition, “The WAE Open,” which is on display through Sunday, Dec. 8 in Livingston.

According to a news release, the exhibition will feature 62 works from 42 New Jersey artists. Admission is free, and the gallery will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 310 Eisenhower Parkway in Livingston.

The WAE Center is a holistic, creative and expressive arts learning center for people with disabilities. It operates as a program of the Jewish Service for the Developmentally Disabled of MetroWest Inc., a multi-purpose agency dedicated to providing an integrated program of community education, advocacy and services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

DANCE PERFORMANCE

As part of the exhibition, Carolyn Dorfman Dance will perform for free on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Artistic director Carolyn Dorfman will lead the company in an exploration of the human experience through dance, addressing themes of “community, connection and cultural narratives” – drawing on her Jewish heritage.
