Authorities Investigating House Fire in Livingston
Fire officials are investigating a house fire that damaged a Hillside Terrace home Feb. 23.

The Livingston Fire Department is investigating a residential fire that damaged a township home earlier this week.
The Livingston police and fire departments responded to the fire at 10 Hillside Terrace around 8:30 a.m. Monday, according to TAPinto.net. Authorities believe the fire started in the basement of the home.
Upon their arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke on the first and second floors, with heavy fire coming up the basement stairs, according to the West Essex Tribune.

Firefighters reportedly found and rescued the family’s cat. No injuries were reported in the fire.
