Driver Eludes Livingston Police, Arrested 3 Days Later: LPD
Livingston police officers attempted to stop a BMW 328 for a minor vehicle equipment violation. Here's what happened next, authorities say.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston police arrested a driver from East Orange after he eluded officers during a traffic stop earlier this month, authorities announced Tuesday.
According to the Livingston Police Department, officers attempted to stop a BMW 328 for a minor vehicle equipment violation on May 19.

“When the officer activated his lights and siren, the vehicle failed to stop and eluded the officer. The officer ultimately lost sight of the vehicle. The pursuing officer was able to positively identify the driver as Keenan Bartley, a 22-year-old male out of East Orange. Mr. Bartley was charged with numerous motor vehicle violations and a warrant was issued for his arrest for eluding.”
On May 22, the East Hanover Police Department notified their peers in Livingston that Bartley was stopped in their jurisdiction. Livingston police officers responded to East Hanover and took custody of Bartley on the eluding warrant.
Bartley was arrested, processed and transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark.
