After growing up in Maplewood and graduating from Livingston High School in 1977, Farber published 14 books. "Little Billy" is his first for children. His most well-known book, "Diamond in the Rough," was about the traits that make someone successful in business.
He's done everything from sell a flat pen on TV to managing celebrities. But now, his children's programming is his focus, although adults can learn from his series, too.
The podcast will feature successful celebrities.
"You will hear from Shark Tank’s Mr. Wonderful —Kevin O’Leary — on how to understand the value of money and instill a work ethic early on with your children," Farber said last week. "Four-Time Olympian Joetta Clark about building a successful environment for your kids in their early years. World Renowned Neurosurgeon Dr. Mark McLaughlin on the magic of the mind and what we can do to develop a strong foundation for the future."
Farber explained, "I wanted the messages in this podcast directed to parents, teachers or anyone raising a family consistent with the messages inside the children’s book and animated series “The Adventures of Little Billy: In Search of the Magic Tree.”
He noted that the podcast will feature "Clear practical insights into the key values we want to instill in our children at an early age like patience, positive attitudes, courage, empathy, determination and more."
"We’re going to explore how we can build the mind, body and spirits of our children," he said.
