Similar to the Friends Book Store, the Book Blast sale runs on the honor system with patrons paying at the Friends Book Store Cash Box using cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal. The sale is available to the public anytime the Library is open. During Book Blast, non-sale items at the Friends Book Store will continue to be available at Friends’ everyday low prices.
Friends of the Livingston Public Library is an all-volunteer, not-for profit (501c(3) organization whose mission is to support and promote the Livingston Library. Proceeds of the sale are for the benefit of the Library, funding programs and services not covered by the Library’s budget from the Township. These include the Museum Pass Program providing free admission to area museums and parks; summer reading, craft, author, and other programs for both youngsters and adults; cultural series including concerts; life-long learning lectures; Senior Happening; ELL (English Language Learner studies); film series; technology acquisitions; and book and subscription purchases.
