If You See A Black And White Helicopter Hovering Over Livingston, Here's Why
What's white, black, and red all over? The copter that's coming to Livingston, with red tail registration number N717MA.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — If you notice a white helicopter with black and red stripes hovering over Livingston from now through February, don't be alarmed.
Chesapeake Bay Helicopters will be mobilizing to help check JCPL's power lines.
They'll be performing comprehensive visual inspections (CVIs) on the 500kV and 230kV lines.

"These inspections are performed weather permitting, and are expected to take approximately six weeks to complete," the town said. "Any storm or outage-related patrols could prolong completion."
The helicopter will be white w/black and red stripes, Hughes MD500, with red tail registration number N717MA.

"A comprehensive visual inspection (CVI) is a slow, structure-by-structure, span-by-span inspection where the inspector onboard the helicopter gets a thorough look from top to bottom of each structure, associated hardware, and conductors of the transmission line(s)," the town said.
The copter will be moving slowly.
The helicopter may also be seen over Millburn, as it's performing a similar inspection there.
