Livingston Town Hall and all township offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2025 for Independence Day. All offices will reopen during regular business hours on Monday, July 7.
Garbage: NO Collection on Friday, July 4

Garbage will not be collected on Friday, July 4 for Tuesday/Friday streets. Garbage will be collected on your next regularly scheduled day, which is Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
Recycling: NO Collection on Friday, July 4

There will be no regular mixed paper recycling pickup on Friday, July 4, and collection will move one day later for the rest of the week.
- Monday, Zone 1, June 30: Regular pickup
- Tuesday, Zone 2, July 1: Regular pickup
- Wednesday, Zone 3, July 2: Regular pickup
- Thursday, Zone 4, July 3: Regular pickup
- Friday, Zone 5, July 4: No pickup; recycling will instead be picked up on Saturday, July 5
Metal Recycling: NO Collection on Friday, July 4
There will be no metal recycling pickup on Friday, July 4, 2025.
Metal recycling pickup will resume on Friday, July 11 — register by 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 10.
Residents are reminded that the metal pickup request form will not be available the week of June 30 through July 4.

88th Annual Celebration
Livingston is proud to host its 88th annual family-friendly community July 4th celebration on Friday, July 4, 2025. The day-long festivities are mainly held on and around Memorial Oval (Robert Harp Drive), with special events at Northland Recreation Center (3 Madison Court). Events begin at 9:00 a.m. with the largest Auto Show in NJ and end with a 9:00 p.m. fireworks display. This full-day celebration has something for everyone and is co-produced by JamFam Productions, LLC.
