Livingston Cops Are Throwing A ‘Community Block Party’: Local Event
The Livingston Police Department is hosting its first annual Community Block Party on Sept. 29.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Police Department is hosting its first annual Community Block Party on Sunday, Sept. 29 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Oval.
According to a news release from the LPD:
“The Community Policing Unit is pleased to announce that Youth Appreciation Week’s Family Fun Festival will be joining the event, adding more family-friendly activities like a petting zoo, craft tent, pony rides, chalk walk, and touch-a-truck. This free community event will also feature food and soft drinks, rides, carnival games, giveaways, balloon twisting, face painting, and exciting law enforcement displays. The event is meant to foster stronger ties between neighbors and law enforcement, building a true sense of community.”
Livingston organizations and businesses are being invited to host displays at the Community Block Party. Any organization or local business interested in having a free display table – or anyone who would like to donate or learn more about the upcoming event – can email jklapal@livingstonnj.org or contact the Community Policing Unit at (973) 992-3000, ext. #3600.
