Livingston Public Library Hosting Chinese New Year Art Show
Stop by the Livingston Public Library to see works of Chinese New Year art from children ages 5 to 18 years old.
A Chinese New Year art show featuring works from children ages 5 to 18 years old is being held at the Livingston Public Library from Sunday, Feb. 15 to Saturday, Feb. 28.
The art show features various works of art on display, including water colors, sketches and oil pastels. All of works featured were produced by students of Christine Qin Wittlinger, art instructor at Livingston Chinese School.
Wittlinger’s students have received numerous awards, including first and second place awards in the “Logo design for Livingston Township summer camp,” winner of the “Most Original” category at The October Tails Contest, as well as qualifying as a state finalist in the U.S. Doodle 4 Google competition.

Wittlinger says her method of teaching is a combination of creating personal expression of Chinese culture and drawing techniques such as line color, proportion and perspective.
Wittlinger resides in Livingston. She holds degrees in both art and business from China and the United States.
