LIVINGSTON, NJ —The results of Livingston Public Schools' "equity audit" will be presented at the Board of Education's public meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

According to Education Week, "Equity audits are systemic examinations of data across schools and a district to [identify] where gaps to access and challenges to educational equity exist."

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the Heritage Middle School cafeteria on Foxcroft Drive.

"Earlier this year, the district worked to identify a high-quality, expert equity auditing firm to conduct a third-party equity audit," said a district spokesperson. "The Board of Education approved the Rowan University Partnership for Educational Equity and Research (PEER) Lab, Equity Coaching, Inc., to complete this task. The audit work began in May and continued for the next six months."
