Livingston Seniors Receive Awards in County Art Show
Five local residents were among the 31 who received awards at the Annual Essex County Citizens Juried Art Show.

Five Livingston residents received prestigious awards in the Annual Essex County Senior Citizens Juried Art Show in nonprofessional and professional categories, in mediums ranging from pastels to photography.
Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr., fourth from left in the photo below, was on hand to congratulate Livingston residents (from left), Sheila Writt, Angela Wang, Harriet Hiller, Malini Parekh and Marcella Sabo. These talented locals are among 31 Essex County artists who received awards at the county art show.
Writt won first place in the non-professional pastel category for “Summer Brook.” Wang received an honorable mention in the non-professional oil category for “A Morning Jog.”

Hiller won first place in the professional drawing category for “Pencil Study.” Parekh won first place in the non-professional photography category for “Make a Wish.”
Sabo won first place in the professional oil category for “Singin’ in the Rain.” The artists were recognized during an awards ceremony on Wednesday, August 27th at the Essex County Hospital Center in Cedar Grove. This year, 100 entries were submitted for review.
