Service Resumes At Most Morris & Essex And Gladstone Rail Stops Tuesday
NJ Transit's Morris & Essex rail lines will operate at all stops on a modified weekday schedule Tuesday, and the Gladstone Line will return.

NORTH JERSEY — NJ Transit said Monday afternoon that starting Tuesday, rail service will return to all Morris & Essex train stops (on a modified schedule), and the Gladstone line will offer limited service, after damage from two storms last week altered service.
The trains will run on a modified weekday schedule. See links to updated schedules below.
In a release, NJ Transit said, "The Gladstone Branch will operate between Gladstone and Summit only. Gladstone Branch customers can transfer at Summit for destinations east of Summit. Last Monday’s strong winds took down a large tree in Maplewood, resulting in extensive damage to the overhead wires and the steel structure that supports the wires. Please see below for service information."
