Update: National Weather Service downgrades snowstorm
Winter storm watch is now a winter weather advisory.

UPDATED [7:30 p.m.]: The National Weather Service upgraded their report on the snow storm and changed their forecast from a winter storm watch to a winter weather advisory.
A winter weather advisory means there will be periods of snow with sleet or freezing rain, making travel difficult. Slippery roads and limited visibilities are possible and drivers are urged to use caution while driving.
The updated forecast now calls for 4 to 6 inches of snow and limited visibililty. The heaviest snow is expected Saturday morning.
In the last few days, we have had some periods of some really, really cold weather. This is understandable ... it is winter, after all.
But, something has been noticeably absent. Can you guess what it is?
Forecasts are predicting the first significant snowstorm of the season (no, that doesn't count, since it was still fall. Neither do those flurries we had recently, or ). So far, it appears it's not going to be a "snowpocalype" or anything, perhaps 1 to 3 inches of the white stuff before it changes over to the wet stuff by late Saturday.
At 11:30 a.m. Friday, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for Essex County.

But, could that change?
We want to know what you think? Will we get some snow, but nothing to storm into a local supermarket and buy up all their bottled water? Will it end up being a complete washout? Or, are we all going to be caught completely off-guard? Chime in below.
