Scotland Drive in Livingston Closed Thursday and More Roadwork Updates
Road construction will block Scotland Drive until 6 p.m. today. Read on for an update on road improvement projects and plans for the town .

Livingston Township will be paving Scotland Drive today from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. During this time, residents will have no access to their driveways while the contractor is paving the road.
“Residents may park on adjacent streets for overnight parking, after alerting the Police Department,” Livingston Police stated. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please comply with the contractor’s instructions so that work can proceed as smoothly as possible.”
The Scotland Drive project is just one part of a larger construction endeavor in Livingston which currently also includes roadwork on South Ashby Avenue and Virginia Avenue.

According to Livingston Township officials, contractors from Midwest will install drainage improvements to reduce standing water and icing within the Township right of way.
“These improvements will replace damaged curbing, retrofit existing inlets with bicycle safe grates and Type N curb pieces, construct barrier free ramps and mill and pave Scotland Drive, South Ashby Avenue and Virginia Avenue,” representatives from the Township said. “Midwest will also construct limited drainage improvements on Park Drive and a permanent road closure on Edgemere Road.”

The township is also currently accepting contracting bids to improve residential sidewalks throughout Livingston, under the Cost-Share Sidewalk Repair Program.
Plans are also being made to Memorial Park, another noteworthy project. The township is currently seeing input from local residents on what improvements should be made to the park.
