Vehicle Collides With Livingston Police Car, Flips Onto Its Roof: PD
A car crash in Livingston injured a police officer and caused major damage to the vehicles, authorities say.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A car crash in Livingston injured a police officer and caused major damage to the vehicles last weekend, authorities say.
According to the Livingston Police Department, the crash took place around 7 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of South Livingston and West Oakwood avenues.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a 2019 Subaru Outback overturned on its roof and with substantial damage to its passenger side. A Livingston police car sustained heavy front-end damage in the collision.
The officer who was driving the patrol car said that he had a green light and attempted to proceed through the intersection. However, the Subaru suddenly attempted to make a left turn and collided with the police vehicle, he said.

The driver of the Subaru – a juvenile – told officers that he was attempting to make a left turn onto West Oakwood Avenue when he collided with the police car, authorities said.
The officer was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries, police said.
The juvenile was transported to a nearby hospital after the crash, his parent told Patch.
