ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — It's important to get a little self-care and treat yourself, but would you pay for what one TikTok influencer proclaimed is the most expensive dessert in New Jersey?

Calandria's Italian Market & Deli in the Caldwells, which has locations in Newark and Fairfield, often holds special events and holiday buffets that draw people who want to celebrate. Their bakery section is open 365 days a year. And apparently, one special dessert at the bakery caught the eye of a food influencer recently.

Late last month, New Jersey-based Alexis "Lex" Foster wrote on Instagram, "Can you guess how much the most expensive dessert in New Jersey costs? If you watch my stories you might know the answer to this question already!"
