2 Long Branch School Board Election Debates Now Scheduled
There will be two public forums Sept. 30 and Oct. 22. Meet the candidates, ask them questions and hear why they're running.
LONG BRANCH, NJ — There are now two debates scheduled in this fall's Long Branch Board of Education race:
The first is hosted by the League of Women Voters and will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 30. The forum is sponsored by The Long Branch School Employees Association.
It will be held via a Zoom Webinar platform; registration is required. Visit bit.ly/LWVLongBranch to register in advance. Questions may be submitted during the registration process or by email to lwvforum2024@gmail.com and putting “Long Branch BoE” in the subject line.

All candidates have been invited to participate but may not all appear.
The second debate will be held Oct. 22 and hosted by the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Guild of Greater Long Branch.

The forum will be held from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 22 (a Tuesday) at the Portuguese Club of Long Branch, located at 191 Broadway. You do not need to RSVP or register; just show up.
"The forum will allow members of our community to meet and hear candidates’ platforms, ask questions and determine whose ideas, vision, experience and expertise will best serve the interests of our children and our schools," said organizers.
