Adam Sandler Spotted All Over Long Branch This Week, Where He's Filming Netflix Movie

LONG BRANCH, NJ — Adam Sandler was spotted in numerous places around Long Branch this week, as the famous actor returns to New Jersey yet again to film another movie.

This time, Sandler is shooting a movie for Netflix that's currently titled "Untitled Roommates Project." His daughter, Sadie Sandler, 19 and a student at NYU, appears in the movie.

Sandler is reportedly living in Montclair while filming the movie, which he filmed many scenes for this past week in Long Branch. Locals said they bumped into him on the Long Branch beach, and he also filmed scenes at The Ocean Place Resort and Spa, Long Branch's luxury oceanfront resort.

Sandler was spotted Wednesday at the Bucky James Community Center, where he organized a pick-up basketball game with local teens, said the city of Long Branch. And Sandler was seen dining earlier this week at The Butcher's Block, a well-known steakhouse in Long Branch, the Asbury Park Press reported.

Sandler also filmed scenes for his latest movie in Millburn, Livingston and Montclair and at a frat house on the Stevens Institute of Technology campus in Hoboken. Sandler was spotted getting pizza at Benny Tudino's in Hoboken a few weeks ago.

"Happy Gilmore 2," which was just released streaming to Netflix last week, was filmed extensively in New Jersey. "Happy Gilmore 2" did most of their filming in Morris County in the fall of 2024, shooting extensive scenes at Long Valley’s Farmview Golf Center, also known as Big Charley’s Mini Golf, plus scenes in Morristown, on Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham campus and at the Lifetime Fitness luxury gym in Florham Park, the Morristown Patch previously reported. Select scenes were also shot in Hoboken.

"Happy Gilmore 2" was also shot at several NJ golf courses in Warren, Somerset and Monmouth counties.

Also: Prequel Series To Iconic 80’s Slasher Will Be Filmed In North Jersey: On Aug. 11, Main Street in Blairstown will be closed for filming from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. as they film a prequel series to the iconic film franchise “Friday the 13th.” The prequel series is actually called “Crystal Lake." The original "Friday the 13th" movie was filmed at a New Jersey Boy Scout camp called Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco in Hardwick Township, Warren County.
