Anti-Musk/Trump Protest Outside Eatontown Tesla Dealership Saturday

There will also be a Women's Day March in Red Bank Saturday, led by Garden State Equality and Planned Parenthood Action Fund of New Jersey.

EATONTOWN, NJ — There will be a protest outside the Eatontown Tesla dealership starting at 12 noon this Saturday.

The protest is organized by a progressive liberal group called Jersey Shore Blue, the local chapter of Indivisible National, and they are calling it a "Tesla Takedown." There have been other similar protests at Tesla locations across the state.

The group said they are rallying against President Donald Trump's policies in his first two months in office, and Trump's appointment of Elon Musk to run the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to reduce the size of the federal government, reduce federal spending and lay off federal workers DOGE determines are unnecessary.

"No one voted for Elon Musk but he's using his wealth and influence to dismantle the government from the inside out," said Jersey Shore Blue in a statement Friday. "The damage done to agencies such as NOAA (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), the Veterans' Administration and Social Security will severely impact folks across our nation in order to fund tax breaks for billionaires. It’s time to let Musk know that the American people want him OUT of our federal government."

The group says it has more than 120 people signed up to participate in the rally Saturday.

Jersey Shore Blue/Indivisible says this is their first time outside the Eatontown Tesla dealership, but they've held protests outside the offices of Congressman Chris Smith (R), Congressman Frank Pallone (D) and U.S. Senator Andy Kim (D).

The Eatontown Tesla dealership is located at 269 Rt. 35.

Simultaneously, but organized by different groups, there will be a Women's Day March in Red Bank Saturday.
