Bank Robbery At The Chase Bank In Bradley Beach, Police Say

At 2:50 p.m. Monday, Bradley Beach Police were called to the Chase Bank on Main Street for a report of a robbery.

BRADLEY BEACH, NJ — An Eatontown man robbed a bank in Bradley Beach on Monday, said Bradley Beach Police Chief James Arnold and the Monmouth County Prosecutor.

At 2:50 p.m. Monday, Bradley Beach Police were called to the Chase Bank on Main Street for a report of a robbery. An adult man had entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The man left with more than $10,000 in cash as he fled the scene.

Due to the swift actions of the bank staff, an investigation was rapidly launched involving Bradley Beach and Avon-by-the-Sea Police Departments, the Major Crimes unit of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's office and the FBI.

Demauriea A. Gray, 30, of Eatontown was identified as the suspect and he was arrested without incident a short time later that same day by Bradley Beach and Avon-by-the-Sea Police.

Gray was charged with one count of first-degree robbery, and he is currently being held at the Monmouth County Jail.
