NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI Task Force is planning a DWI checkpoint this Friday, August 15, in Neptune Township, announced Allenhurst Police Chief Michael Schneider, the county's DWI Task Force coordinator. All westbound vehicles on Rt. 33 will be diverted into the Jumping Brook Plaza parking lot, where all drivers will be screened for their sobriety. The checkpoint will begin at 9 p.m. Friday and end at 1 a.m. Saturday. The county task force holds these DWI checkpoints weekly in the summer. They are usually on Friday or Saturday nights at various locations throughout Monmouth County.
