Long Branch Beach Open Again After Medical Waste, Syringes Washed to Shore

Medical syringes prompted officials to close the beach at Seven Presidents Park over the weekend.

The Seven Presidents Park beach in Long Branch has reopened following the clean-up of medical waste that had washed up along the shore there on Saturday, news12.com is reporting.

Syringes were found in the “clump of debris” at Seven Presidents Park at around 3 p.m. on Saturday, prompting officials to shut the beach to bathers as a precaution and remaining closed until Monday.

The beach has remained open this week with no additional sightings of debris reported.
