Long Branch Boardwalk Repair Funding, A New President at Monmouth University
Long Branch mayor says FEMA funding for boardwalk repair could be coming soon.

By Christopher Sheldon
It's officially August, and from an early look, it's going to be another busy month here at Long Branch-Eatontown Patch.
We spoke to Long Branch Mayor Adam Schneider this week and got a quick update on the city's boardwalk rebuilding project.
He told us that the city could hear from FEMA soon in terms of how much money the city will get to rebuild its boardwalk, bluff and sea wall.
We'll have a full story on this later this morning.
A new president officially takes over at Monmouth University today and we'll have a full story from Wednesday's brief ceremony where he was welcomed to campus.
There will also be a story on Friday's second summer fun day in Eatontown.
Thanks to our readers for helping give Long Branch-Eatontown Patch another successful month. As always, if there's a story you would like us to check out, e-mail editor Christopher Sheldon at christopher.sheldon@patch.com.
