Long Branch Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Front Of Colts Neck High School

A Long Branch man was killed when his motorcycle collided with an electric delivery van​ last Friday in Colts Neck.

COLTS NECK, NJ — A Long Branch man was killed when his motorcycle collided with an electric delivery van last Friday in Colts Neck, the Monmouth County Prosecutor announced Tuesday.

This was the crash that happened at 12:08 p.m. Friday in front of Colts Neck High School on Rt. 537.

Stephen Morehouse, 65, of Long Branch, was driving a 2005 Harley-Davidson east on Rt. 537 when he collided with a 2022 Rivian electric delivery ran.

Morehouse was in the right lane of traffic. His motorcycle struck a concrete curb and grass island, and he was ejected from the bike.

He was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries at 11:17 that night.

The driver of the van was uninjured. He remained at the scene, and no charges or summonses were issued against him.
